OTronics can offer PA (Public Address) hire facilities mainly targeted at bands who need vocal or instrument backup, but can also tailor to suit the needs of outside events such as fetes, sports days and fun days etc.
Hire packages start from a single amplifier and 2 speakers to a complete set-up of sound, comprising of four speakers, processing and amplification.
As with the disco service, a full written agreement is given with each hire. In this instance, a purpose-produced contract is issued.
Rest assured that our Public Liability Insurance policy covers PA events, as of course do our PAT and CRB checks.
For most hire packages, a skilled operator will be on site throughout the duration of the event or as necessary to set-up equipment, actually undertake the event, and dismantle/pack away. Please contact us for a competitive quote.
Below is a list of equipment that can be hired to suit the needs of your event, most of which is flightcased as necessary. See the Equipment page for images.
- x2 speakers (300 watts RMS each) + stands if required (stands can extend to 6ft).
- x2 additional floor-standing speakers (350 watts RMS each).
- Amplification - x1 760 watt (RMS) amplifier (x2 380 watt stereo) (capable of up to 1.2kW if bridged) and x1 600 (RMS) watt amplifier (x2 300 watt stereo) (capable of up to 1kW if bridged).
- Mixing desk comprising of 4 microphone and 10 stereo inputs, 2 Aux’s and various outputs.
- x3 Shure microphones (x2 PG48 and x1 SM58) complete with boom stands. Table-top and upright vocal stand also available.
- x1 radio microphone with boom stand
- x4 CD players (dual CD player and 2 backups).
- Portable Minidisc player/recorder.
- Cables/connectors/adaptors of all types and sizes including Neutrik Speakon, banana plugs, XLR, 6.3mm TRS jack, RCA/phono, 3.5mm minijack, BNC etc. Extra speaker/microphone/instrument cables available.
- Mains extension cords that can extend to approximately 90 metres.
- Small spot light with large tripod and/or other disco lighting if required (for bands or other events).
- 600 watt smoke machine (for bands or other events).
